Airports and Hearing Loop Systems
More and more airports are reducing communication barriers for people who live with hearing loss. This month I learned two more airports are installing hearing loop systems in the near future. Kudos to the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) and Memphis International Airport (MEM) for improving hearing access.
Other airports in the US that have hearing loops include the Gerald Ford Airport (MI), Kalamazoo (MI), Muskegon (MI), Detroit (MI), Onslow (NC), South Bend (IN), Minneapolis/St. Paul (MN) and Atlanta (GA). Let’s hope to see more airports install hearing loops in the future.
