Dr. Karen MacLennan, Audiologist
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Karen MacLennan has been an Audiologist with a focus on hearing assistance technology/hearing loops for 17 years. She earned a Doctoral Degree in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences. Prior to earning her doctoral degree, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped with honors and an Associate in Applied Science degree in American Sign Language Studies. Throughout her professional career, she has provided audiological and education audiology services in hospitals, private practices, and nonprofit educational and rehabilitation agencies. Karen also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in audiology and aural rehabilitation. She is an advocate for people with hearing loss and supports the “Loop America” initiative. Realizing that organizations, educational institutions and other facilities in the NY, NJ, PA and CT area needed to increase the number of hearing loops available to individuals with hearing loss, she brought the “Loop America” initiative to her community. She has been working with hearing loops since 1997.
